phoenix @ la zona rosa, atx - 12.17.09

Phoenix closed out their fall tour with a killer show at Austin’s La Zona Rosa on December 17.  Before the show, Roxwel got the chance to shoot an acoustic version of “Lisztomania” at their special fan meet-and-greet and interview two members of the band, as well.  Recently nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Alternative Album (Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix), the talented guys in the band still radiate a humble and generous air.  When asked about the upcoming Grammys, they said it would be their dream to perform at the awards ceremony with Prince, doing a mashup of their “1901” and his “1999.”
